MacKay Contracting Wins 2019 Award for Grading from the Province of British Columbia

MacKay Contracting was honored by taking first place in the province of British Columbia for Grading by Highways Contractor Awards Luncheon at the Victoria Conference Centre on December 6th of 2019.

The four-laning project took place near Golden, BC on Highway 1 from Donald to Forde Station Road.

The work included widening 2.5 kilometers of Highway 1 to four lanes and improving access to the Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement inspection station.

MacKay Contracting exhibited excellent traffic management, rapid response to changing conditions throughout the project. The project was completed on time, without incidents and minimal traffic disruptions to this busy corridor.
